We're about to paint our bus and after doing some research have narrowed it down to two exterior paint optionsRustoleum high performance protective enamel and Ace Hardware rust stop. It seems like Rustoleum would be the better choice, but it can't be custom tinted and the rust stop can. We would rather avoid trying to mix our own color but don't really like any of the color options Rustoleum sells. Has anyone had any success custom tinting the Rustoleum enamel paint? Otherwise I think we'll go with the rust stop since we can get the exact color we want. Just DON'T buy the latex house paint. You want oil based enamel. __________________ |

I used a roller and Behr Exterior flat finish exterior paint from home depot. You can really use anything if you're just painting over the existing paint as your final finish and adhesion will depend on the paint your painting over. Having worked in the auto business for 20 years, I can say spray is better looking than any other application method. To properly paint a bus you should sand or blast down to bare metal, primer and then paint/sand/paint/sand clear. __________________ |
