The Fennec is one of the most popular vehicle bodies for ranked players. Here's how you can get your hands on it.

The Fennec is an Octane hitbox body that was released a couple of years ago in Rocket League. Because it has the same hitbox as the most used car in the game, a lot of high-level players prefer it. Getting good hits and understanding the Fennec body can be tricky for those used to the visually smaller Octane.

However, the Fennec is clearly one of the best variants in Rocket League. When the car was initially released, it was a crate drop (now bundles and blueprints). At the moment, there are only a few ways to get the Rocket League Fennec, and it will most likely set back gamers a few hundred credits.

Updated on December 9, 2021 by Payton Lott: Season 5 in Rocket League introduced a few new interesting items, but no Fennec. The best free way to pick up the body is by playing and opening drops. While it is a rare body, the chances of picking one up after a season of drop rewards is pretty good. Also, players should check their blueprints to make sure they do not already have one in the menu. Yes, it will cost Rocket Points to get that blueprint in the garage, but it is better than trying to set up a trade. Players should keep their eyes on the store too, as Epic is changing the items available on a weekly basis.

9 Drops And Blueprints

  • Drops —> Blueprints
  • Blueprints + Rocket Credits = Item

The free Rocket Pass allows players to get common, rare, very rare, and import drops. These drops have a chance to contain various blueprints. With the free pass, gamers will pick up a handful of drops every season if they play the game enough.

To turn the blueprints into items, users will need to spend Rocket Credits. The entire system is set up so that people will need to spend either Rocket Credits or real money to get these items.

8 Weekly And Season Challenges

  • Rocket Pass
  • Challenges
  • Tournaments

Completing all of the available challenges is the best way to get XP for the Rocket pass and free blueprint drops. There are a ton of challenges every season, and most of them can be completed organically if people play a few hours a week.

In a season, players can get at least 24 rare drops plus the season challenges reward for completing all of the challenge tiers. Still, those without a premium rocket pass will not be able to use those blueprints without Rocket Credits. Below are all of the ways to get drops in Rocket League.

7 Tournament Rewards

Like challenges, there are daily and weekly tournaments to participate in. Gamers can queue as a team or play with random teammates. The farther the team gets in the tournament, the better the rewards.

Almost all of the tournaments have loser's brackets too, which gives squads a second chance at glory. Play well, and there are a lot of Exotic, Import, and Black Market blueprints available. Tournaments offer drops as rewards as well.

6 Rocket Pass

Anyone that plays the game on a regular basis will want to pick up the premium Rocket Pass. It will cost $20, but players will be able to earn credits by gaining XP. This means that the pass will pay for itself and give gamers some spare Credits for blueprints and store items.

The premium pass has item rewards and provides even more challenges and drops for people to complete. Instead of spending money on a particular blueprint or item in the shop, get the Rocket Pass. It will be a lot less expensive in the long run, because gamers can accrue credits and drops as they play.

5 New Trade In System

Epic's new trade-in system allows players to trade in five core items or blueprints for one upgraded item. The chances of getting a Fennec in Rocket League by doing this is rare, but it is a nice way to get rid of unused blueprints while hunting for Exotic and Black Market items.

Trading things in is the only way to get items for free, so those that do not want to spend money on the game will have to use this method. However, trading these items in is a gamble.

4 Store Bundles

Gamers can use their Rocket Credits to purchase items and bundles in the store. While there is currently no Fennec in the store or Rocket Pass, at some point Epic will include one of the variants for purchase.

There are always daily rotating items in the store, and the bundles are updated every week or so. Check in periodically to see if the Fennec is available. Bundles are expensive, so it might make sense to wait for a random blueprint drop or lucky trade-in.

3 Use Credits And Blueprints To Trade

People also have the option of buying or trading a blueprint with another player. Check out our guide for more details about trading. Essentially, two players on the same platform can trade blueprints and credits in game. Typically, this means trading two equally valuable items.

To execute a trade, both accounts need to be in the same party. There are a few other requirements as well. Players will need to be careful when trading with someone they do not know. Scams are as prevalent in Rocket League as they've ever been.

2 Why The Fennec Is So Good

Rocket League: How To Get The Fennec (& Everything You Need To Know About it) (9)

As mentioned, the Rocket League Fennec technically has the same hitbox as the Octane. However, controlling possession with the body feels different, and maybe it is. The square shape of the Fennec makes dribbling and control way easier. Those aspects of the body carry into the air as well. Air dribbles and resets seem to be more straightforward in the rectangular car.

Much of this likely has to do with how players visualize the hitbox. If the car seems flatter, it creates a placebo effect in the game. Still, many players in the RLCS swear by the car over any other. After watching them play with the Fennec, viewers will want to get their hands on one too. For those that are having issues finding one, the Octane will do just fine. Also, the Dingo has risen the ranks as one of the more popular SSL cars.

1 Dingo

A few notable pros have tried their luck with the Dingo, and most have enjoyed the different features of the unique car. It may not be the coolest looking body, but it is really consistent in competitive play. Like the Fennec, it has a box-like visual shape. Unlike the Fennec, it is pretty much a perfect rectangle with a small cab.

With the Dingo, timing those wall hits and balancing the ball will seems too simple. Not everyone is lucky enough to own a Fennec, and the Dingo has proven to be a decent car in game. If Supersonic Legends prefer the body, it will be useful for everyone.
